I’m in my final year studying for an MChem at Somerville College. I decided to join the Russell Group for my project due to my interest in medicinal chemistry and how chemistry can be used to solve problems in the everyday world, outside of the laboratory. During my part II year, I will be optimising a reaction to synthesise small molecules which may be useful in treating neurodegenerative diseases.
