Our research lies at the interface of Chemistry and Biomedicine and aims to break new ground in the basic science of discovery of new molecules and mechanisms to manipulate cell fate and translate them into therapeutic agents, particularly to tackle the diseases of ageing. Our main themes of research are: (1) Stem cell chemistry “Stemistry” for regenerative medicine; (2) New treatments for neuromuscular disease; (3) Cancer medicinal chemistry and diagnostics and (4) Anti-inflammatory agents.
